Here we are with our three new coffees, we were very excited to finally find some different, juicy, sweet ones that we could use both for filter and espresso extractions.
How can you choose the best one for you?
Do you prefer easy or funky? Do you like brightness or creaminess? What extraction do you like best?
• Sweet, round, with a pleasant smooth acidity – go for Los Dos Socios from Huehuetenango, Guatemala. This is a great option for espresso, as it is not too harsh or acidic, it has a very pleasant panela sugarcane flavor to it.
• Very bright and aromatic – Manyatta from Kenya is your best choice! It’s got a green tomato tart acidity and a fantastic red berry aroma, that we find just superb for any filter extraction, like V60, Chemex, Aeropress, whichever is your favorite!
• Hypnotically floral and intense – the Beriti from Ethiopia from Yirgacheffe has an explosion of flavors, and this could be a such a fun espresso if you are ready to go more advanced, and also a fantastic filter coffee that will take you daydreaming to a faraway exotic place.
